The HP HDX 16  is another famous name that has carved a niche for itself in the world of user-friendly budget notebooks. With great look and feel, excellent features and superb gaming control, it has scored a hit among users from both the young and professional age bracket.

Design
This laptop has a very sturdy built. A sheet of “infinity glass” provides protection to the screen from damage. One side of the LCD screen is protected by the infinity glass and the other has strong plastic. The screen connected to the main laptop body by hinges doesn’t wobble. The body is made from durable plastic and/or metal.
Screen
The display has an exceptional quality with superb definition and a resolution 1366×768 with absolutely no dead pixels and is 16″ in size. There is a small light on the outside corners of the screen while the screen is black. Experts advise buyers to go for the 1920×1080 screen with a Blu-ray player.
Sound
The sound from this laptop is also rather impressive compared to many other laptops available in the market. The built in subwoofer produces amazingly crispy and very loud and clear sound for a laptop with absolutely no incoherence. The HP HDX 16 model laptop comprises of the Altec Lansing speakers and subwoofer that make playing games a brilliant and exciting experience when they are turned on during the game. A media smart bar is located above the keyboard and below the screen. It is touchy and needs practice to handle it properly. The trebble and bass can also be controlled by users from the media smart bar, which is rather convenient.
Heat
There is an exhaust fan in the far back left corner of the laptop to keep it cool during long hours of continuous usage. This feature makes it extremely user-friendly and comfortable to use..
Input and Output Ports
The keyboard looks full with a complete numeric pad on the right, the arrow keys are smaller than those in normal desktops and have proper gaps between them for convenience of typing.
Several ports such as USB 2.0, IR receiver for remote, Power adapter, Blu-ray ROM/ DVD-ROM, USB 2.0, Laptop lock, VGA, Expansion Port 3, Ethernet (10/100/1000), HDMI, eSata/USB combo, USB, IEEE Firewire, Express card slot (54/34) etc are also present.
